Jambalaya Introduction to Polymer Clay Techniques
with internationally acclaimed polymer clay artist, Tory Hughes
Learn how to get exactly the colours, textures and translucencies you want. Some painting, some mixed media, making jewellery and perhaps a bowl to keep it in. An overview of all the approaches you can use with polymer.
When: Thursday, October 12th
Time: 9am to 5pm with a break for lunch.
Tools and Materials: The studio will provide a work surface, glasses & rollers for rolling clay, several pasta machines to share, tissue blades, needle tools, X-acto knives, knitting needles. Some of these items can be shared.
A full list of the tools & materials required by each student will be provided ASAP.

Tory Hughes has been working with polymer and mixed media professionally since 1984. Her work is in permanent collections of major museums, and in copious publications. Mostly that is because she loves to make things, to explore and fabricate and invent. Tory invented the imitative techniques in the early-mid-1990s: how to recreate ivory, coral, turquoise, lapis, jade, amber, etc etc. She has produced 15 instructional DVDs, published two books and written of numerous articles. Tory has been teaching around the world since 1986. In her classes Tory encourages people to connect to their own creativity while she gives them technical and personal tools to do.
Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds if you change your mind or don’t turn up. You are however completely welcome to send a friend in your place!
