Glass Art

"Glass is a thing in disguise, an actor, is not solid at all, but a liquid that will reveal its true nature at any time. It is invisible, solid, in short a joyous and paradoxical thing, as good a material as any to build a life from." - Peter Carey

Breathing Colours features a range of glass art by leading Australian glass artists, available to view at our Sydney gallery and buy in our online store.

Glassblowing is an art form hundreds of years old. It involves shaping and molding molten glass into vessels and other shapes, usually by blowing into a long metal pipe. The formation of air bubbles in the molten glass see it gradually turn into a vessel.
