"For me there is endless pleasure in working at the wheel and creating forms and shapes from a ball of clay.
Forming the paper-looking lanterns is a deviation from the wheel that produces the most beautiful pieces with an organic, paper-like aesthetic.
For me, porcelain is the most trying and, yet, the most beautifully rewarding material to work with.
I feel that quiet pieces have a strong presence and I love to make vessels that quietly invite you to pick them up and hold them."
